Biography- Larry L'Argent

Larry comes from a family of artists and musicians. The first 25 years of his professional art career were spent sculpting steel, stone and bronze. Living in Durango, Colorado, he was involved in many local and regional art organizations. He taught at the Durango Arts Center and Fort Lewis College, and judged the Reflections National Fine Arts Competition. He was also a board member of the Artists in Residence Program. He won numerous awards for his work and owned his own gallery in Bayfield, Colorado.

In 2005, Larry moved to New Mexico and is painting full time. His subject matter is varied and reflects what he is passionate about, from the art of the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations to vintage trucks and motorcycles. All are large one-of-a-kind original paintings on framed hardboard. Sizes range from 3 foot by 4 foot to 4 foot by 8 foot.
