Artist Statement

Art is a mental and physical activity that grounds me in my environment. My work develops as a personal narrative from observations and ideas or from reflections on readings, and then choosing the technique or material that best supports that idea. I am interested in materials and process, with the objective of reconciling the process with my ideas.
